Chuck was one of my heroes! He was Regimental Commander our First Class year. We both branched Artillery and attended Ranger, Airborne, and Artillery Officers Basic Course together. I got to know him really well in Ranger School and later in Airborne and in the basic course. I was devastated to learn of his death in Vietnam. I have missed him ever since.
