Happy Birthday My Dear Eric, Today you would have turned twenty-six. Although you were here a short 26 years, your life had more meaning, friends, love, kindness, adventure and happiness than any one lifetime could hold. You made an impression on everyone you came in contact with. In the past 24 hours, I have heard non-stop stories from people all over this country, telling me about what you meant to them, and the kindness and love you shared. Oh Eric, how I miss you. I was so proud and honored that you called me Mom. I last spoke to you on Thursday Evening when you told me you were almost home. I feel so lucky that I got to tell you one last time "I Love You", and that I will see you soon. Someday I know we will meet again and until then I will never forget or stop loving you. Eric, you truly were a gift from God, that one in a million. How lucky for us to have known you. Rest in Peace my dear son. Love, Mom |
