Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Andres Apolinar on November 16, 2004:
As a fellow foreign cadet, we met three days before R-Day at the foreign cadet orientation. I can say that I have been proud to know you ever since. Though we were treated well while at West Point, we would always get happy when we would find out one of us was able to go to our home countries for vacation. Throughout those four years at West Point, on more than one occasion did you lend your helping hand to me. During Buckner, I remember when our company was going through the air assualt obstacle course, and I was walking on a log and ended up slipping.. and there you were to catch me, getting hurt in the process. Firstie year I had nowhere to go for Thanksgiving and we bumped into each other on the train down to the city and you offered me a place to stay with you and your friend. I politely declined, though you insisted, because I didn't want to inconvenience your friend, but I should have known it would have been ok. I am very thankful for having known you. I have a picture with you, me, li, and abu-yaghi at the end of plebe year. It will be cherished forever. Until we meet again,
