I met Joe when we were Sunday School teachers together and in the Ski Club and on the Debate Council and Forum. Joe was a real gentleman, very friendly, with an engaging smile and a quick sense of humor. He will be remembered as one of the greatest quarterbacks Army ever produced, but he did not let it go to his head. I was devastated to learn he was killed in an automobile accident -- what a prodigious waste of talent. The Army and the country lost a truly great man. Keith Garner A-2 |
