| David was a student in my Fluid Mechanics course in 2003 when I was a civilian instructor at USMA. David was a very dedicated student and an excellent runner who easily engaged with his fellow cadets and his instructors. I vividly remember a conversation with him where he asked me if his engineering education was as complete as one he would get at another engineering school. I told him he was getting the best training in engineering fundamentals he could hope for, and that anything else he would get in graduate school before returning some day to teach at USMA. David, I wish you had gotten that chance. Thank you for bravely serving our country and for making the ultimate sacrifice. |
