Mike was the consumate leader. He respected his subordinates in a way that inspired us to excel for fear of disappointing him. His style embodied Schofield's Definition of Disipline. He would rather get a good Hooyah! and lift your spirits than 'keep you in your place'. Twenty years after H3 went from Hampsters to Hurricanes Mike and his trademark Hooyah! cross my mind often.
