Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Sharon McLaughlin-Comstock on December 13, 2004:

I remember "Uncle Buse" from early childhood. My father Pat McLaughlin and Buse were good friends and "babysat" me as a very young child. Buse made a great impression on my life. I will always remember his "magic" car antenna and sitting on the bar with him and Dad at the Officer's Club. I have heard many stories and will never forget. I was 8 years old when he died and remember it vividly. I wanted to attend the funeral but my parents decided I was too young. I still wish I had been able to attend and honored Buse by naming my first daughter after him. Seana Tully McLaughlin was born almost 20 years ago and even though she does not know her namesake, is proud to be named after a great man.
