Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Katharine Jeanne on August 2, 2011:

It's been a year and I miss you. So much has happened yet it seems like yesterday that you joined our family in Heaven. Family history was so important to our family. I have been doing more research over the last year and the most precious finds are personal memories. Today, one memory is coming to mind. We did not go to Church often when growing up...Dad started going more later...but when we did go, I remember Dad's singing. He sang so well in a deep baratone. I can almost hear it now. As I read family history this year, I found so many generations of "Hulley's" who also sang. I use ""'s because some were the women of the family. But relatives and fellow Church goers would often include a note about singing when remembering them. And since the singing was in Church, it was their voices raised to God. When Dad was sick, he often mentioned how he missed singing in the choir at Church. But I know he is singing today with Anna his neice, his Dad and Grandparents and other relatives. They watch over us...so many generations, the huge family reunion in Heaven. Love you Daddy.
