| I was cruising the WPAOG website and was saddened to hear of COL Herman's passing. I was a "juice" major, class of '85 and took COL Herman's "Electromagnetic Fields" class - as difficult and abstract as they taught at USMA, and he did an amazing job. He could fill three chalkboards with Greek letters and formulae, and still have a sense of humor about it. My most memorable "P," I still think of his class more than 25 years later. In fact, I have saved my notebook from EE383 (the only notebook from USMA I kept) to prove that I once understood the subject matter. Thank you Dean Herman. Be thou at peace. |
