| I never met David Crocker, but I know that he was my father's roommate at West Point. Throughout his life my dad used to talk about "Dave Crocker" as a boon companion and a close friend; and even though they were not in close touch--a Christmas card a year, an occaisonal letter--my father knew that he could, if needed call on his help at any time. |
