Be Thou At Peace

Posted by rivers adams on January 4, 2005:

Larry was good friend when we served together at Mainz with the 1/504 & 1/505 in the early 1960's. As young batchelor officers we played poker, spent time at the Von Steuben in Weisbaden, and enjoyed reading the new James Bond novels. We had great fun at the Cafe Parisiana, the spielbank, the Park Cafe and other hot spots during those halcyon days that newly minted lieutenants enjoy. When Larry Shattered his ankle and returned stateside we lost touch. I knew he had to leave the Army for medical reasons. Over the years I tried to locate him with no success. He was a first rate officer and a fine man. What else can I say.
