I was a new private in the Army in Advanced Individual Training for armor at Fort Knox when General Starry was commander of the Armor Center; I never met General Starry, but one of our instructors served with him in Vietnam and spoke about him as commander of 11th ACR. I remember that General Starry had a great reputation at Fort Knox. Rest in peace to a good soldier and my condolences to the Starry family. |
