| I knew Rick pretty well. I was in B-1 and in a great many classes with Rick, sometimes seated side by side. While we both skated on very thin ice academically, Rick never seemed phased by the situation and I took heart from his example. I learned later that I was in the 101st at the same time as Rick and I'm sorry we didn't encounter each other in Vietnam. I know in my heart that Rick was a good leader and respected by the men he commanded. |
