Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Rick Burney on November 4, 2011:

This is sad news indeed for classmates and colleagues of Kim Whittington Daffern. At USMA, I remember Kim as a very dedicated student. An incredibly bright person, she always seemed to grasp the tough concepts quicker than most of us. Kim was also very humble, quietly earning academic accolades. As a resident at Madigan Army Medical Center, Kim is remembered as a kind and hard working colleague and friend who always found time for others, no matter how busy the clinical workload. She had a great sense of humor that was often missed due to her quiet constitution. As with all life journeys, hers navigated twists and turns, and her years after military service are not well known to me. But my enduring memory of Kim is an incredibly bright intellect matched by an unassuming, humble soul. May she rest in peace-
