| I am LTC Nestor Caro, a Colombian soldier who had the honor to host Ryan in 1997 when he came to attend the Colombian Army Military Police Basic Course. Also, I was his sponsor; so we had the chance to meet each other well. He was a great officer and a kind human being, as student his domain of tactics and his effort to understand the classes in spanish put him on the top of the class. I remember a practical exercise with Cs grenades where he started to do pushups straigh over the open grenade. We kept contact for a while but I was trying to regain it when I found this page. I just came back from fort leavenworth where I attended the CGSOC class 2011- 01. He was a great soldier, a gentleman and it was my placer to share time with him. |
