| I met Don on a one week fishing trip in southern Argentina. In a setting among several serious fisherman, Don stood out with a quiet confidence in himself and his abilities. Being a newcomer to that particular river and its fishing techniques I asked Don many many questions. He was the master and I was the student. And he enjoyed the lessons. In later years I continued to seek his advice from his fishing experiences and, while we were never able to fish together again in person, his memory is one of my treasures. |
