Be Thou At Peace

Posted by J. A. "Andy" Chacon on April 5, 2012:

Classmate Charles Satuloff writes:

"Surrounded by wife, Rose, daughter, Ceci, sons, Albert, Anthony, Christopher, Dan and John, and an uncle, nieces, nephews, friends and Classmates, Lee and Janet Duke, Marie Foss and Chuck Satuloff, Al's ashes were set to rest next to his infant daughter who died shortly after birth at West Point. Dave Leyshon's resting place is just yards away.

Under bright skies, the service was conducted by Major Monsignor Brian Donahue. Son, Dan, read a poignant piece about family, life and death while other family members paid tribute to Al. Military honors were rendered by an honor guard and a flag was presented to Rose by Col. Sobiesk of the Information Technology Department.

Afterward, in the Great Room in Herbert Hall, some sixty or more attendees gathered for a reception where reminiscences of Al were exchanged. One incident, in particular, brought hearty laughter as a relative described how Al, as a youngster, broke his leg while running away from his mother who was chasing him with a broom!

May he rest in peace.

Chuck
