Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Frederick G. Terry III on May 22, 2012:

I am truly saddened to have just learned of Bob's passing. As one of my father's classmates and friends, we reunited in the 80's when I truly needed some "Fatherly" advice and support.

I felt a special admiration, respect and fondness for Bob. He was someone who was there for me anytime I called and was never hesitant to set me straight or back me down when need be. Our long, deep discussions about the Army, West Point, and life in general were some of the most cherished times of my life.

I will always be grateful to him for sharing and caring for me. I had a chance to visit him in Orlando last February, and enjoyed his spirit even though Alzheimer's had erased his memory of me.

Thanks as well as my sympathies go out to his wife Linda who also shared my last visit with Bob.

I know he and my dad are kicking ass and taking names together again.
