Well, farewell to my B-1 roommate and long-time friend. I fondly remember the trip Mike and I made to Tehran while on graduation leave to visit my folks. My dad was the defense attache. That was in the glory days of the Shah and we had a blast, from gazelle hunting in the desert to swimming in the Caspian Sea. I'm sorry that Mike had such a tough time at the end, but at least I had a chance to talk to him about a month before he died. Rest in peace, Mike, old friend. |
