I met Sherry when I was a plebe in D-1. Sherry had such a great disposition and was always smiling. Later, upon graduation, I was fortunate to be assigned to the same company in 8th Inf Div as Sherry. She had the tough assignment of supporting multiple armor, infantry, artillery and support battalions within 8th ID. She was always on top of her game. She was able to juggle all of issues and provide outstanding support to all of the supported battalions. Her troops loved her. They respected the fact that she was a strong but a fair leader....and I don't think that many of them did better on the PT test than she did! She had a great sense of humor and was always so pleasant to be around. She was a great leader, mentor and friend. She set the example in everything she did and she will be missed. |
