Todd, I thought of you today as I was running. It was hot today, like Fort Knox in July hot. It reminded me of picking you up from the old basic training barracks during your yuck year training. You had a bum foot from dropping a 105 howitzer shell on it, so you were sweating your brains out on a poncho liner in a second floor bunk. I threw my newly pinned 2LT rank around with the cadet cadre :) and broke you out, loaded you in the F150, dropped you into the air conditioned BOQ and made a pizza run. Thanks for being a soldier and knowing your personal sacrifice pushes me to live above the common level of life on a daily basis. |
