I didn't know Steve as a cadet (during his "wild days"). I was lucky enough to meet him and his wife Laurel while I was stationed at Ft. Wainwright. From Thanksgiving to Easter and even throwing a wedding, Steve and Laurel were always taking care of the rest of us. I can not find the words to tell the world how great of a husband/friend/officer he was. Soft spoken, easy going, very dedicated, and full of love for his family are some of the phrases that come to mind when I think of Steve. My husband and I will miss the board games, movies and dinners. But most of all we will miss having someone who showed us how to live and love like God intended.
