| Elmer/I rode the range, so to speak, assigned to the 4th FA Bn(Pack)(75 mm), one of the last mule/horse outfits in the US Army, at then Camp Carson, Colorado(1951-1952) - our first unit assignment for both of us after Basic FA Crse @ Fort Sill, OK. We enjoyed our short assignment in the boots & saddle outfit. I believe we crossed sabers last, so to speak @ the class mini-reunion at Colorado Spgs in 1999. Elmer(El) was a great guy & fellow soldier!!! |
