I had the pleasure of being a classmate of Jay's for four years at Salesianum School in Delaware. He was a wonderful guy to be around. He was that rare person who could play varsity soccer, sing in the chorus, and make everyone in the school feel like they are welcome and his friend. He never looked down on anyone- always there giving a smile and a laugh. He had a great voice that he got to use in our Spring concert when he had a solo. I remember how he and Matt would always talk about going off to the military, and how excited Jay was to be going to West Point. Thank you Jay for making us all feel welcome and for being a friend. You will be missed. My heartfelt sympathies go out to all of the Harting family. |
