This morning I opened a book, the Handbook of Leadership by Ralph Stodgill, and read a wonderful inscription written by then MAJ Emile A. Robert, Jr. The book was an unsolicited and unexpected graduation gift from a former professor who had observed a lump of coal he believed worth nurturing into flame. Leadership was engrained in Emile Robert's character and conduct. More than the book, the memory of an outstanding officer and leader remains. Well done. Be thou at peace. Craig Jung Class of 1975 |
