Lew, you were a terrific classmate, friend and roommate. Thank you for your perpetually kind and patient persona. You had a maturity of self that inspired me. Your love for Justine beamed forth like a beacon, surpassing your great love for social justice, for your company mates and for West Point. Your earnest gathering of each of us for A-3 reunions, which you and Justine hosted with great warmth and grace in your home and club, provided lifetime memories for aging men and their wives, and reminded us of the great power of friendship. You are deeply missed. Blessings on you and Justine. Well done, be thou at peace. |
