I had the pleasure of serving with Stephen when he was attached to my Tank Platoon in Charlie Co 2/72nd Tank BN, 2ID during his CTLT training in the summer of 1997. It was clear to me at the time that he was going to be one of the Army's best and brightest, and his ability to seemlessly integrate himself into my platoon and gain the confidence of the men demonstrated his outstanding leadership characteristics. I will always remember him shooting tank table 12 as my PLT SGTs gunner and his love of the Army. Marc A. Critchley |
