It must have been our 5th reunion planned at West Point. Dottie and I were living at West Point at that time. Dottie's mother wanted to come to the reunion and needed a ride from Alexandria, Virginia to West Point. Some how Pete, Roy Herte, and Russ Walthour got wind of her need and offered to let her drive with them. When they arrived at her house they did not have room for her luggage in their car, so they left their luggage at her house to accommodate "Mrs Fannon". They did keep a load of beer, which "the boys" drank all the way to West Point, and Mrs Fannon prayed for their safety during the entire trip......I am sure Pete will get her thanks in Heaven when he arrives.
