| Got the terrible news about my friend and former roommate, Roger. I heard the USMA soccer coach call him "Veeno" once, so that was his nickname until graduation and after. Will always remember Roger practicing his soccer skills by trying to kick the ball into the upper cabinets of the clothing closets that were in our room. Veeno was a kind and considerate person, and he came from a great family whom I had the honor to meet once. I will never forget him. I wish now that I had done more to keep in touch with him over all these years. Take care, Veeno. Show 'em up there where you are now how to score a goal. |
