| I knew Bob only as teenager, from 1953 to 1958 we attended the same schools and played baseball together. I greatly admired Bob and to me he was a role model and a wonderful teammate and person. At the time I knew him it was obvious that he was something special and would go far in this world - which he did. As one person said "What a dignified exit our Bob Brown made".
