Be Thou At Peace

Posted by RB Davis on June 12, 2005:

Jeff was my best friend in RVN and I was there when he was killed. His death impacted my life in many ways. I named my firstborn son after him. Jeffry B. Davis USMA 1997. My Jeff went on and did really well as an Armor officer in the 2/70th Armor of 1AD. He deployed to Kuwait for Intrinsic Action in 2000. I got to see his unit sign posted in the Camp Doha Gym when I served there after being mobilized for GWOT and OIF. My son died in the service of our County on July 14, 2001. He missed therefore being part of 2/70 Armor for the Battle for the Airport in Bagdad.
Since his death my Jeff's wife of 14 months gave birth to triplet boys who will no doubt be the salvation of Army football. one running back, one quarterback and one lineman.
One of his sons is Jeffry Jr so Jeffry Riek's name, heritage and impact for the good of our country will continue.
Missing them both, RB Davis
