West Point, 1983

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Mike Knott on June 15, 2005:

I am still having trouble absorbing this tragic news. Ted was the consumate scholar and gentleman, the foundation to which those of us in F-1 rallyed around. Always the one to interject common sense and a solid, academic approach, Ted was quiet and confident.

I watched him on the Military History Channel just a month ago, and I rallyed my wife and three kids to watch Ted in action. I was proud to tell my family that I know Ted, and that he was going to be one of the many future generals from Company F-1 that graduated in 1983.

All is not lost. Ted will live forever in the hearts of those that knew him. He lived his life with "Duty, Honor and Country" always echoing in the background.

May God bless his wife and children as they recover from the loss of one of our brightest and most promising classmates.
