Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Irving B. Schoenberg on April 22, 2015:

Ken Barber was a man whom you could never forget. Once he entered your life, he was always there. If not in actual flesh and bones, then after his death in a spirit that remained strong and perpetual.

One could say he was the epitome of a USAF fighter pilot: cocky but lovable. Courageous but easy-going. Always to be admired.

His word was pure gold, it remained as solid as the U.S. Gold Deposit.

To have climbed as many as the 400-plus peaks that he mastered is a feat that clearly demonstrated his determination and will power.

His character was a jewel: one to be emulated.

He was an ideal husband and father.

He was my friend.
