Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Catherine (Kit Parker) Bravakis on June 6, 2015:

I just turned 73 on the 3rd and thought of you being 74. Always close. And what a life you gave us all who were lucky to have in ours. Came across photos from 1955 in Ocean City and you were our giant then and remained until your future called. Remember the cowboy wall paper, the alter boy surplice that mom starched so stiffly? I even have your Alter Boy tiny lapel pin

Bob, you were always there for us and for others and I'm sure your West Point brothers could feel it. Your life was a gift to all of us in the stages we had you. To me my loss of you really is not so much of a loss as it is prayer. A prayer that brings back the closeness we had for 21 years, and the remaining I have with you in my heart when I need you. Your footlocker is with me and I go through it at least once a year. With the pictures and that, I am able to continue and remember your loving ways.

There is no good bye but See Ya Soon
Kit
