| Rod and I were classmates at CGSC and then at graduate school in Washington DC immediately thereafter. It was financially tough for all of us moving into such a high cost area and especially for Rod with his several kids. To make ends meet Rod got a full time, 40 hr a week job while we were in school. So there he was going to grad school full time, working full time, and involved with cub scouts and other family matters. This didn't leave a lot of time for going to class and studying so just before exams Rod would ask to borrow my notes - I never missed a class and kept good notes. He would just scan them and then usually pull an A on the exam. He was an amazing guy and a good friend. |
