I worked for Major Alan T. Shost at the 3d Armored Division HQ at Drake Kaserne in 1972-73. He personified the best aspects of a US Army officer every day through his words and actions, and he inspired all of us to try to live up to his example. He would not suffer fools; his acerbic wit and incisive humor were legendary. It was a genuine privilege to work for Major Shost and to know him. |
