| I served under Major Chitren at the 125th Air Traffic Company II Corp HQ. (Coastal Center) in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam in 1968. He was the finest CO that I had during my service. The first words out of him when we first met were "I love the Army and my family loves the Army" which concerned me until I learned that his love of the Army did not mean a love of useless and outdated regulations, instead it meant to him a love of his men and their mission. He always had our back with a smile on his face. We will miss him. |
