Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Kevin Penney on May 31, 2016:

Dear class members of '51,
Frank G. Penney was my father.

He was very proud of his West Point heritage and his fellow graduates. He spoke of it often, the men he studied with and served with. Dad attended the school of Music and Arts in NY, did two years at Fordham university and later enlisted in the RA. He applied to West Point and was initially denied due to a tooth issue. So, he attended the prep school. Graduating in '51 was an event he would build a lifetime of accomplishments upon. He did many amazing things, working as an engineer for the space program before it became NASA, flew commercially for 20 years and after retiring would teach violin and piano along side computer science.

It will be difficult to carry on with my daily routine and not have him scheduled in it. He will be greatly missed. My mother and I, as well as my foster brother Jeff, who Dad helped many years ago, wish to thank you all for your support.

God Bless,

Kevin M. Penney
