| We felt very lucky to have met and known Matt, being parents from RI, as our daughter, Becky, was Class of '98. Matt was her mentor when she was a Plebe. We think of Matt often, always remembering his kind ways, smile and friendly personality, very helpful to her -- a true Cadet, Soldier, and Leader. Knowing Donna and Richard, his parents, made it all even more heart wrenching. It was hard to see Matt's name at the new annual Memorial Day event here in RI this year, at Roger Williams Park, along with all RI heroes lost in the war on terror (as well as ALL who have passed on since the inception of the war) with boots, flags, names, and individual information listed for each. Our daughter had also been roommates with his wife, Maureen, at West Point, during Firstie year. We all also knew her parents. Matt is missed by our family and many. RIP. |
