I knew Myles as a classmate and in class in First Regiment. Five years later we met again in Flight School. Myles was always the one who helped, the one who taught, the one you would expect to be the instructor pilot. Myles stayed to teach the next generation and died of an unfortunate accident which his skill could not predict. The worthless "fill in the blank" eulogies are just that, often from the bitter people who wanted the wings but never could achieve them. Myles was the the "real deal." Betsy, if you ever read this, know that we remember Miles and love him, but not nearly as much as you did. God Bless you. |
