I briefly knew 1Lt Korchek when he was the S-1 for the 2nd Bn, 505 AIR, 82nd Abn. I was an EM in Fightin' Fox at the time, and had applied for appointment to the Academy through the annual enlisted allotment. In addition to handling my application and paperwork, he also interviewed me "informally"; being a ring-knocker, he was interested in why I wanted to attend West Point. I remember him as a totally "squared away" officer. "All the Way" |
