| Bill and I attended the Ordnance Center & School back around 1968. We car pooled with Joe DeChant. After lunch and before afternoon classes we would sit in the car and listen to Paul Harvey. Those were tenuous days, as promotions were coming through for major. If someone was called out of class and came back with gold leaves and he was lower in the alphabet than you, you knew you had been passed over. Well we all made it. Bill was class leader and an excellent one. |
