Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Jesse Prince on August 29, 2005:
Laura, I will never forget all the things you did for me as my sister Squad leader, and my Platoon leader. Whether it was you getting me out of trouble, or me getting you into trouble, you were always the most caring, and understanding leader I've ever had. Your death has really touched me deeply, and I will carry with me the memory of you forever. As you would have wanted anyone to do, I will try my best not to mourn you but to instead celebrate your life. From reading all of your other eulogies, I can see that I am not the only one you've had an effect on. You were a shining light and an inspiration to me, something to strive for. Thank you for allowing me into your life, and giving me the chance to get to know you. You are in my heart always.
To the family: I'm very sorry for your loss. There is nothing worse in this world than losing a child. I lost my brother Todd, and saw the struggles my parents and my family went through. The only comfort I can offer is that it will get easier with time, and I hope you can rely on each other for support. Again I truly am sorry for you loss.
