To the Hines family I send my deepest sympathies and prayers for the loss of your son. I was in A2 with Derek and it was a true honor to have him as a friend. Derek was an example to everyone he came into contact with for how to be a true leader. His constant upbeat and positive attitude was infectious and inspiring. It was truly an honor to know your son and to have him as a friend. He is a true hero in every sense of the word and will be forever missed. Sincerely, CPT Dan Burton '02 |
