Be Thou At Peace

Today is Veterans' Day, or Armistice Day many places in the world, when 100 years ago at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the guns fell silent in the Great War. It is a day of remembrance world wide. Almost two weeks ago, on October 31, we had another day of remembrance, but a lot more personal. On that day fifteen years ago, 31 October 2003, you gave your life to protect our liberty and freedom. A great many people thought of you that day and again today. We miss you and thank you for your sacrifice. "Be thou at peace." |
