Be Thou At Peace

Dad, Just a quick update. Your family still lives on and grows. Never think that your family doesn't live on and will continue. Peter is a pilot and will soon deploy to Afghanistan and Sarah is a nurse practitioner. You have a beautiful great granddaughter named Charlotte Ann. So never fear you are here every day I look at my son I see you in him. I still have the last gifts you gave me a purse that you bought overseas that you engraved with the words to Kathy I love you Daddy and the beautiful music chest that still works. But the greatest gift we never had was for your Sister or parents to love your children and so we grew up without half our family. Even as adults we are forced to read about her pain. When quite simply we have the pain that even as an adult she could not be the bigger better person for you. To embrace and love your children as you would have and did until the very end. We don't have the pictures because your old family would never share them.. But we do not need to dwell in the past because you are in every smile and laugh of your great granddaughter. All our love and to the future which is so blessed and wonderful and your family which just keeps growing. Kathleen and Scott, Peter and Danielle and now Charlotte and lovely Sarah |
