Even though Mike and I were both in Company E3, we ran in different circles...or maybe I ran in circles all four years. However, when our paths crossed in class or in the barracks hallway, Mike was always smiling. When we were on the intramural athletic fields, he always had that determined look on his face...a real competitor and a great teammate. My most vivid memory, however, is of Mike and some fellow E3ers singing their barber shop quartet songs in the stairwell! I don't know if he continued singing after graduation, but he was enjoying the heck out of it at the time. My sincerest condolences to Mike's family and close friends for the void created by Mike's passing. I consider myself privileged to have known him for even a short time. |
