To Derek's family and friends, Derek was a special person that I truly feel priviledged to have called a good friend. I was fortunate to have graduated West Point, FAOBC, and Ranger school with him. I know I speak for many in saying that Derek greatly enhanced each of those experiences with his personality, insight, and selflessness. We are all deeply saddened by this tragic loss. My condolences go out to his family whom he always held in the highest regard. -Mike Canty |
