I was sitting in a meeting last night thinking about the exact moment 16 years ago when it had turned Halloween where you were serving, and the lives that were torn apart by the IED that your Humvee struck. It is a remembrance that sticks with me and floods over me every Oct 31. It's a remembrance that will always resonate within my heart. To remember your vibrant and humor filled life that was snuffed out so quickly 16 years ago is both painful and joyful. The memories of your life and pranks and humor fill my heart with joy, enough joy to almost overcome the pain of your loss. We all miss you Todd and each year just puts us closer to a remembrance of you that lives eternally. Love, Dad |
