| I was nearly on Dave's plane - he offered me a ride to Leavenworth from Ft. McClelland but I'd just boarded a commercial flight. He was a grand man - I knew him as an Infantryman in Germany, then my neighbor company commander when he was CO of 57th MP at West Point (when I had HHC, 1st Inf). He was rock solid and a man to be emulated. God rest you, Dave. |
